Moody Bedroom Transformation
Have you ever had a moment where the universe seems to align in the most unexpected way?
Well, one of the quirkiest (in a good way) things happened to us recently. We ended up becoming friends with the couple who bought our old house Kristina & Phong. It was a surreal experience to see someone else fall in love with the place we poured so much love into. But there was one room in their new home that needed a little extra TLC: their bedroom.

They loved the design of the rest of the house and trusted my vision, but when it came to their bedroom, they needed a bit more personalization. He was all about dark and dramatic vibes, while she preferred a more serene and green aesthetic. Talk about a design challenge!
Getting to Know Them
Designing a space that truly reflects someone's personality requires getting to know them on a deeper level. We talked a lot about their likes, dislikes, and what makes them feel at home. Bringing the Vision to Life
Armed with insights into their individual styles, we set out to transform their bedroom into a sanctuary that spoke to both of their tastes. We played with a moody color palette for him, incorporating deep blues and rich greys, while adding touches of green and natural elements for her to create a sense of calm.
From statement lighting to cozy textiles, every detail was carefully chosen to strike the perfect balance between their contrasting preferences. It was like creating a visual love letter to their relationship, blending their unique personalities into a harmonious design.
The Lenia dresser added more storage to a room which lacked in it and contrasted beautifully both in color and texture to the bed and the Layne Lamp ties it all together with curved dark wood vase- chefs kiss!
The Big Reveal
After weeks of planning, sourcing, and late-night DIY sessions, the moment of truth arrived. We unveiled their newly designed bedroom, complete with all the elements that reflected their individual styles yet came together in a cohesive and stunning way. The look of awe and joy on their faces made all the hard work worth it.
It was a strange and wonderful journey, from selling our old house to becoming friends with its new owners and transforming their bedroom into a space that truly felt like home.
